Description

28″-30″ cactus.  The wooly blue torch columnar cactus is found in Brazil but is perfect for much of Florida’s weather.  This cactus is Pilosocereus pachycladus and one of the classic geo-specific species varieties from Brazil.  It has whitish wool around growing tips, 8-ribs, short, light-colored needles and a pastel cool blue coloration.  Can tolerate temps around freezing for short periods but at risk for tip frost burn.  Preferably growing zone 10a or higher but does ok with covered tips in 9b during frost.  It is a member of the P. Leucocephalus phylogenetic group of this genus.

Small plants $20, $30, large plants $70 and extra large plants $150.  – No California sales due to rigorous and expensive nematode certification requirements for Florida growers.

Please contact me for current prices, as plants continually grow larger between updates to this commerce page.  I would be happy to select and photograph plants for you prior to ordering.
