Pilosocereus chrysostele is a densely golden spined columnar cactus found in Bahia, Ceara and Pernambuco regions of Brazil. This shrubby tree cactus branches from the base and reaches 4-9 feet in height. It is a member of the P. piauhyensis phylogenetic group in the genus.
